When will be the notification released?
The state Government releases the notification after getting vacancy list from the concerned departments followed by financial clearance. This vacancy list if once gets financial clearance, then the government releases the official notification.
What are the Posts and Salary in APPSC Group1 Services?
Eligibility:
Educational Qualification is graduation for all the Group 1 posts except for Divisional /District Fire Officers in State Disaster Response & Fire Services (a Degree of Engineering (Fire) of any University recognized by UGC ).
For uniform jobs few physical requirements are needed.
Age limit:
Detailed age criteria for all the posts of APPSC Group1 are given in the notification. You check below.
Deputy Supdt. of Police (Civil) Cat-2 in A.P. Police Service – 21 to 30 years
Deputy Supdt. of Jails (MEN) in A.P. Jail Service – 18 – 30 years
Divisional /District Fire Officers in State Disaster Response & Fire Services – 21 to 28 years
Except the above posts, age limit for all other posts is 18 to 42 years.
Reservation:
There will be reservations in direct recruitment in respect of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Physically Challenged Economically Weaker Sections, Women and Meritorious Sports Persons.
The candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, EWS & PH and who avails upper age relaxation will also be considered for open category vacancies.
The reservations and relaxations to different categories/communities are applicable only in case of availability of vacancies to the respective category/ community as announced through the notification.
Exam Pattern:
Exam for recruitment will be in 3 phases – Preliminary Exams, Mains exams and Personality test.
Preliminary exam:
The Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. One need to clear the cut off announced by APPSC after the conduct of preliminary exam. The cut off will be decided based on toughness of the question paper, no of candidates appeared, no of posts announced inn the year’s notification etc. So we cannot predetermine the cutoffs rather than estimating it.
Written Mains Exams:
In Mains there are 7 papers in which 2 language papers are qualifying in nature and the other 5 papers are scoring. The score obtained in these 5 papers is the game changer of one’s career.
Interview:
All the marks obtained in all GS papers will be added to the interview marks which gives final score. Based on the merit list of these marks the final candidates will be selected for the recruitment.
The interview tests all the personality skills along with the societal understanding
