The discipline emerged out of Imperialism & Colonialism of 19th century Europe .When the Europeans proliferated throughout the nooks and corners of the world , they encountered different & diverse groups ; which became a good subject of study , to pursue smooth administration in the distant lands .With the passage of time it became more specialized & professionalized through the works of the famous Anthropologists like E.B Taylor , Henry Maine, L.H Morgan, Frazer , Boas etc. From just a new theoretical subject it developed by different exploration , excavation & fieldworks .Anthropologists like Brownislaw Malinowski , Margaret Mead etc took the discipline to the zenith .New techniques& methods like participants observation were introduced .The discipline has many other branches like Biological or Physical Anthropology , Socio – cultural Anthropology , Linguistic Anthropology & Archeology .These all fields rely heavily on fieldwork and dessertation to study practically & enjoy , basically we need to LIVE ANTHROPOLOGY AND THINK ANTHROPOLOGICALLY .
