To promote organic farming, the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), Department of Agriculture (DAC), and MSTC have created the Jaivikkheti portal. It is a one-stop shop for enabling the sale of organic produce by farmers and promoting the advantages of organic farming.

The Jaivikkheti portal serves as both an information and an e-commerce platform. Case studies, films, best farming practises, success stories, and other information relating to organic farming are included in the knowledge repository area of the portal to help and promote organic farming. Customers can now have considerably cheaper organic products delivered right to their house through the platform. When compared to conventional farming, organic farmers work very hard to produce these best organic products, which are then made available to consumers via farm gate and doorstep delivery at very affordable prices.

This portal establishes connections between many parties involved in the development and promotion of organic farming, including regional councils, neighbourhood associations, small-scale farmers, consumers, and government organisations.

Through this site, we offer a variety of price discovery processes, including forward auction, price-quantity bidding, book building, and reverse auction, to assist farmers in obtaining the best prices for their goods.
